Domestic education loans
For study within India, the loan typically covers tuition, hostel or accommodation, and course-related expenses like books and equipment. Smaller loan amounts are usually easier to secure without third-party collateral, while larger amounts — for a professional or postgraduate course at a premium institution — generally require a co-applicant (usually a parent) and, past a certain size, collateral. We assess this upfront so there's no surprise midway through the application.
Overseas education loans
Funding for study abroad covers tuition and living costs, and is usually disbursed in instalments aligned with each semester or academic year rather than paid out as a lump sum. Because the loan amount is larger and involves currency exposure, most lenders require collateral and a co-applicant beyond a certain threshold. Repayment typically has a moratorium — you're not required to start paying EMIs until the course ends and a grace period passes — which is the detail we spend the most time getting right, since it directly shapes what the family needs to plan for while the student is still studying.
We route the file to lenders who actually work with the destination country and course level in question, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach — the right fit changes meaningfully between a diploma abroad and a full postgraduate degree.
